....there is now a Central Database of Handicaps?

During 2008/2009 the EGU has been developing the NEW CENTRAL DATABASE OF HANDICAPS (CDH) with the full support of CONGU. This process is now complete and active with its implementation mandatory from 1st May 2010.

All BAGC members are now registered with the CDH. Some of the benefits are:

  • Automatically send and receive records of away scores
  • For open competitions the Committee can interrogate basic handicaps of all golfers
  • In the future handicap certificates will not be required as handicaps can be downloaded from the CDH - please note this applies only to the English Golf Union. If you are abroad you mat still require a handicap certificate.
