Slow Play

It has been brought to the attention of the games committee once again about slow play during club competitions.  This is a serious issue that does affect golf club members enjoyment of the game.  All singles club competitions should be completed within 3 hours and 45 minutes. Members who fail to complete competition rounds in this time will be penalised as per the rules of golf.

6-7. Undue Delay; Slow Play

Stroke play – Two strokes.

Bogey and par competitions – See Note 2 to Rule 32-1a.

Stableford competitions – See Note 2 to Rule 32-1b.

The games committee will be taking steps to monitor players time on the course and players who are found to breach this rule will be penalised and that result will be final. No exceptions will be made.

It is all players responsibility to keep up with the group in front, not to simply keep ahead of the group behind.
